ClearMile support

ClearMile stores your records on your iPhone. These quick answers cover the most common questions.

How do I record a drive?

While safely parked, start a business trip, choose or enter its purpose, and photograph the starting odometer. Verify the suggested reading. After the drive, take an ending odometer photo and verify that reading to complete the record.

Can I correct an odometer reading?

Yes. On-device text recognition is only a suggestion. Review and correct every reading before saving.

Where is my data stored?

Records and photos are stored locally in the app. ClearMile has no account or its own cloud backup service. Your device backup settings may include app data. Export CSV regularly and keep your copies; CSV does not include photos.

Does ClearMile track my location?

No background tracking is used. Foreground location is optional and is requested only when saving the start or end of a drive. Address lookup uses Apple’s location and geocoding services. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I export or delete data?

Use Export CSV in the app to open the iOS share sheet. Delete an individual completed drive from the app. Deleting ClearMile from your iPhone removes its locally stored data. Previously exported files and device backups must be managed separately.

Terms of use

ClearMile uses Apple’s Standard License Agreement.
